Well Organized DIY Closets
However, if you have a well thought out and organized closet space, you will be less likely to want to mess it all up. Building a closet space with shelves and cubbies, for a variety of different items, ensures that you will have a place for everything and be able to actually find your items again!
Plus, it actually relaxes you to open a closet door and see organization and structure versus chaos and mess. So…I searched for some of the best diy closets out there to provide the most inspiration. I think you will like some of these ideas!
Many of us probably have a linen closet with some built in shelves. My linen closet has shelves….they are stuffed full of linens that have fallen on top of each other…..not a pretty sight. I like this idea of sectioning the shelves off with cubbies to hold sections of towels together better. Also, having a spot for cleaning products on their own and baskets for other items, keeps it clean and organized. I also like the pull out tray that was added. I’m sure this closet will stay organized and clean!

This nursery closet tutorial is another easy diy and even incorporates slide out laundry hampers. Since baby clothes are so small, there is plenty of room for lots of cubbies. However, the design could be modified to make more space for clothes with a little less cubbie storage.
Now….if you have a small closet that you don’t necessarily need for hanging things, why not transform it into a little mudroom area? I just love this cute idea by The 36th Avenue that adds a bench and handy storage baskets for a new decorative space. You will want to check out this DIY…just click on the photo!
