Decorating With Junk
Decorating with the old, the vintage or trash to treasure types of decor are one of my most popular topics and so I am now dedicating a page just to junk! You will find links to all of the posts, I have written on the topic, here.
Since I have a passion for collecting the old and giving it new life, you will continue to see more posts on this topic as I add decor to both my home and cabin.
My husband and I travel around to various resale and some antique stores during the summer months as well as garage sales, estate sales and flea markets always on the lookout for junky treasures. Sometimes we get surprised by hidden treasures deep inside the Northern Michigan woods or along side a road just waiting to be picked up!
I hope you will be inspired by the fact that you don’t have to spend a lot of money for some unique and rustic decor for your home. With a little creativity you can definitely turn some trash into treasure.

I love trying to use old or used items in my crafts. I am currently trying to incorparate jewelry into some of my art work. It’s like I can see the images in my mind, but don’t seem to be able to get them down on the canvas.
What I have seen of your online items is very cool, but not exactly what I want. Although I do like the ideas and may use some of them in the future.
I do hope that you can help me. I like to paint scenery the most, but I also like to just throw colors on the canvas and then add paper butterflies, leaves and other items. Just depends on what I am trying to create at the time. Somtimes I don’t even know myself what the end picture will revil.
