Decorating a cottage is usually a more relaxed and simple style than a regular home, often times using more creative means when it comes to the design. The cottage bathroom is an area where creativity can run wild with fixtures, cabinetry, accessories, flooring and more. Here are some cottage bathroom ideas to help inspire your own style.
Cottage Bathrooms
A Rustic Vanity
An old rustic and distressed table with a vessel sink acts as a vanity in this cottage bathroom. The wood beams, vintage lights and industrial baskets all add to the charm of this rustic bathroom.
Fresh And White Design
White bead board is popular with a cottage style bathroom and an old ladder for hanging towels is a perfect design accessory. Because of the simple styling, this bathroom has a calming affect.
This bathroom is almost spa like with the wood walls and floor and long rustic bench. The vase with white flowers and white towels accentuate the feeling. Another great white bathroom design!
Incorporate A Vintage Cabinet
Using furniture that is full of character, in a bathroom, is a great way to add a ton of style. This vintage cabinet with the distressed paint finish is a great piece to use for storage. The rusty chicken wire basket sitting on top is also a wonderful accessory for additional storage. Since the cabinet is painted in a fresh and light blue-green color, the bathroom feels very spa like.
Rustic Cabin Bathroom
We used pine bead board on our cabin bathroom walls for a warm rustic look. Since we are located on a fishing lake, I accented the room with lots of fish decor. Open shelving, made from canoe paddles, provides room for more fun accessories.
In our other bathroom, we made our own sink from a cement mold to add a little something something to a basic small vanity cabinet.
Cottage bathroom sounds like an interesting and unique designing idea that will add an amazing appearance to our home. I loved these ideas very much.
