Now that Spring is here, you may be thinking about getting the outside ready for gathering with friends and family. Or, if you already live in a warm climate, you might just be in the mood for a little sprucing up.
I love to make the outdoors an extension of the inside with some fun rustic accessories and welcome seating where you can just sit and relax after a long day.
One fun example is the rustic seating area I made around our bird garden up North at our cabin. It’s very rustic with log bases for the bench and glass table.
It is the perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine and watch a little wildlife action! Click on the link to see the whole seating area.
For more inspiration, I found some fun outdoor space ideas that are rustic and relaxed.
Here are some of my favorites:
This is all that I would need! A swinging bed which even has some under bed storage for books and magazines! I can picture this hanging from the underside of our deck over the walkout basement….oh yeah!!
I love this covered rustic bench overlooking the small pond. What a restful place to stop and sit a while!
Some very creative design went into this rustic and colorful fence. It looks to be made from several different sections of recycled tin.
Would you have thought of putting an old iron bed on your porch? It works great repurposed as a comfortable little bench!
Collect an old faucet, a rusty bucket, and a teardrop glass bead to make this fun rustic accent to decorate your outdoor space.
Umm…..yes please! This can go right along side that swinging bed….then I would definitely be all set! This is what I call really extending that living space.
And, yet another use for those old pallets. These provide a great base for a rustic walking path!
